This is what the Ikea “Anno Sanela” panel looks like up close. The feel of it and the way it’s constructed reminds me a lot of my Chilewitch table runner ($65) from MOMA. Except, you know, for the price. [side note] Those tiny nails? I recently bought an old chair at Goodwill (will show soon) and when I tore off its sticky red naugahyde cover, these tiny black nails were holding it on. I decided to keep them, they were so small and looked handmade. Sure enough they came in handy just a few days later with this project. The problem is, I am really trying to force myself not to keep stuff because it “might come in handy someday“  and unfortunately this kind of thing just reinforces that naughty tendency. After I had everything up, I painted the nails with a Qtip to blend in better.
